East Woodhay Society Events

Friday 30th June, 7th & 21st July – Walking for Health starting at the Woolton Hill Church Hall & Friday 14th & 28th July starting at the Rampant Cat.

The walks last about an hour and are at a gentle pace. Please wear clothes and shoes suitable for walking in the weather. There is no need to book, just turn up on the day and register. All walks, which are free, start at 10.30am, but if you are coming for the first time please arrive at 10.20am to register. We also cater for slower walkers by having a shorter walk at a slower pace. Afterwards at the WHCH stay for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat.

Sunday 9th July – Summer Walk

We are planning to do a circular Summer Walk starting at 10.30am at the Woolton Hill Church Hall and covering a distance of 4.5 miles. Halfway around we will stop for refreshments at East Woodhay Village Hall before making our way back. The walk will be along a mix of roads, footpaths and bridleways, so please wear appropriate footwear.  The route will pass through East End, East Woodhay Heath End and will be fun for all the family.

Saturday 1st July – St Thomas’ Fete

The Fete, to be opened by Dr Colin West, will be held in the grounds of St Thomas’ Church starting at 2.00pm.  The East Woodhay Silver Band will be in attendance. Attractions include Plants, Tombola, Bottle Stall, Bric-a-Brac, Dancing by St Thomas’ Infants School (2.00pm), Books, Crockery Smashing, Bouncy Castle, Human Fruit Machine, Henna Hand Painting, Phoenix Cards, Cakes & Jams, Teas, Ice Cream and Raffle.
