This month we have suffered a series of burglaries from Sheds and Outbuildings. The offenders are mainly targeting garden tools and machinery. Areas affected include, Highclere, Adbury, North End, Dunley and Woolton Hill. There have been several suspicious vehicles in the area, please continue to report these to us via 101, or 999 if you feel it is urgent. There have been similar incidents just across the border and are happening during daylight hours. A report of a suspicious vehicle resulted in a quick job for two of our rural officers. A driver was seen to change the number plates on his vehicle, he was unaware of the NHW member who spotted this and quickly reported it. Minutes later the vehicle was involved in a crime. Without the quick thinking of the NHW member who registered both number plates, we may not have been able to locate the offender.  Many thanks! Between 22/06/13 – 23/06/13 a caravan was taken from an address in Washwater. PLEASE continue to report suspicious people/vehicles to us. We do follow them up and you never know when it might be someone up to no good! Thanks for all the hard work so far!
