Charity Cheque Presentation 17th November to The Rosemary Appeal

The committee would like to thank everybody who has contributed money during 2018 to support The Rosemary Appeal.  We raised £750 and as we donate via the Greenham Trust this money is doubled and therefore £1500 is received by The Rosemary Appeal.

The Rosemary Appeal is raising money in order to provide essential facilities for the local community, including day therapy, chemotherapy, renal dialysis, IV therapies and a CT scanners.  Below is a photo of Mark Rand presenting the cheque to Dr. Keith Endersby.

Village Wine Quiz – 17th November

We had a wonderful evening with 61 people attending the annual Village Wine Quiz which followed our AGM.

For those who have not been to this popular event, the format of the evening is that there are eight different rounds of wine tasting (four white and four red).  Grouped on tables we had to try and guess the wine from a choice of three, which were convincingly and eloquently described from the front, and then to estimate the price.   Thanks to John Angle for all his work in preparing for this event.
